    I can’t believe how many BBS software programs were written over the years. Some I heard of and used and some I didn’t know even existed. A lot of them have disappeared but thank god someone still collects them. Gives it a bit of nostalgia seeing what we once used to use at one time.

    I agree, there was quite a bit of BBS software written, especially back in the 80s and 90s. And there was quite a bit of variation in BBS software used for BBSes just in my area back in the day. I have a few of them on my BBS as well.

    Ain't that the truth. I've only ever checked out a small handful of the options. Back in the late 1980's, I started opening a phone line to the public running a modified version of Host+, written in Telix's own SALT scripting language. Back then, I had checked out PCBoard, Wildcat, and finally setttled on Synchronet.

    Image BBS was my favourite BBS software for the Commodore 64 that I ever ran back in my day.
