• Remote Editing

I setup Synchronet on a VPN (Digital Ocean) a couple weeks ago, and
haven't had too much time to mess with it yet... keeping the SSH/Telnet
ports closed for now, as I'm wanting to customize the web and telnet
setup a bit... will be rewriting some of my older mods.

I just want to say, that something that absolutely kicks ass is the "SSH Remote" extension in VS Code... basically, install VS Code, setup your ~/.ssh/config for the hosts you want to use... and VS Code will connect
to that system via SSH, you can load a directory path (like /sbbs/) and
edit on your local machine... Although, some files (ans/asc) being
cp437 with control codes doesn't work so well... but for ini and cfg
files, it's been really nice. Also, the integrated terminal, while
connected will be an SSH terminal on the host machine.

Other than a few issues in initial setup, I'm closer to getting telnet open.

Or just ssh to the other server and edit stuff in vi like you're supposed to
    ;)

Even if I am in an ssh terminal, I'm using nano at worst... and/or automating from source control generally... with sbbs, it helps to be "active" to experiment.
