  • scfg no longer runs

    Looks like scfg no longer runs after a recent update.

    bbs@bbs:/sbbs/src/sbbs3/scfg/gcc.linux.x64.exe.debug$ ./scfg

    Synchronet Configuration Utility (Linux) v3.17 Copyright 2017 Rob
    Swindell
    bbs@bbs:/sbbs/src/sbbs3/scfg/gcc.linux.x64.exe.debug$ echo $?
    1

    It just exits. I run through strace to see the following error.

    write(1, "uifc library init returned error -3\n", 36) = 36

    Nevermind, it your terminal is <255 characters wide then it does :)

    It just exits. I run through strace to see the following error.

    write(1, "uifc library init returned error -3\n", 36) = 36

    uifc init error -3 means the screen width is incompatible with the library. Hopefully the changes I just committed will work around this.

    what time did you build it? I did it last night (that bbs isn't online - yet) and region 15 hq (it's another syspop bbs) and we can enter our scfg

    The problem wasn't so much scfg but the fact my terminal was more than 255 columns wide. The downside of having a side screen monitor! DM has fixed it so as not to silently exit now.
