  • SyncTerm Feature Request

    First just wanted to say, where the hell should I post this question? Synchronet Discussion? Javascript? Programming?

    The question being can SyncTerm be setup to accept Windows variables for the download/upload path?

    For example I'd like to put %USERPROFILE%\Google Drive which would translate to c:\users\android8675\Google Drive

    Also if the upload path isn't found, can SyncTerm default to wherever SyncTerm was executed from?

    I don't even know who maintains SyncTerm, but it'd be nice to be able to use variables.

    Maybe there is a way an I'm not seeing it. /%%userprofile/%(maybe?)

    I think the official way is to contact Deuce on his board, nix.synchro.net. He does not read DoveNet these days, so that's probably your best bet.

    You could try to bug him on IRC, hard to say if you'll get an answer.

    DM will occasionally interfere with SyncTERM, so posting in Synchronet Programming or Discussion might not be a total waste of time. Definitely not Synchronet Javascript.

    I don't even know who maintains SyncTerm, but it'd be nice to be able to use variables.

    Deuce is the author and maintainer.

    I'd suggest the Programming conference.
    The question being can SyncTerm be setup to accept Windows variables for the download/upload path?
    That sounds easy enough....

    That, or create the directory...
