    Lately, I gave up on playing cards. I used to play Euchre online and got discouraged
    because the game is determined by how good a hand you are dealt, not your skill level.

    But then I discovered a new game called 'The Five Crowns' which is an offshoot of Rummy.
    You still have to have books and runs, but it's a bit different. Has anyone else heard of this
    game?

    Not familiar with that one, but if you like board games I would
    recommend BGA - or boardgamearena.com

    They offer these games online: Spades, Euchre, Hearts, Pitch, Bid Whist, Oh Hell, 500,
    Pinochle or Contract Bridge.
