• Allfix locks up...

From Shurato@618:300/50 to All on Fri Dec 5 13:18:00 2025
When attempting to extact file_id.diz from any archive... It just sits there and appears to do nothing. It complains that there are dupes, so I ran it
with -nodupe, but that didn't seem to make a difference.

I had it freeze up on me as well on my Telegard system. I eventually had it use the description from the TIC file instead of reading the .DIZ files and it seems to be working ok. *knocks wood*

I was never able to figure out what made it freeze, it seemed like most .DIZ files were fine but was wondering the ones with ANSI and/or high ASCII threw it for a loop?

Ok, I'll see if I can figure out how to do that... I might need some help.

Have you verified that the proper (un)archiver programs exist on your system? Check that they are in your PATH, or specify the complete path where they are located in ASETUP.

    Yep, that's correct.

Considering the FILE_ID.DIZ specifications calls for a file no longer than
10 lines of 45 characters or less of pure ASCII, Allfix may be trying to strip all of the extra stuff out.

    Just an uneducated guess. XD
