When attempting to extact file_id.diz from any archive... It just sits there and appears to do nothing. It complains that there are dupes, so
I ran it with -nodupe, but that didn't seem to make a difference.

I had it freeze up on me as well on my Telegard system. I eventually had it use the description from the TIC file instead of reading the .DIZ files and it seems to be working ok. *knocks wood*
I was never able to figure out what made it freeze, it seemed like most .DIZ files were fine but was wondering the ones with ANSI and/or high ASCII threw it for a loop?

Have you verified that the proper (un)archiver programs exist on your system? Check that they are in your PATH, or specify the complete
path where they are located in ASETUP.
