I had a '94 Honda Civic that was so easy to change plugs on that I did

Probably would have required a lot of work to get those 2 out and back
in. Most of the Ford V6s these days that are transverse mounted require the removal of the intake manifold to access the rear bank ignition
coils and spark plugs.

With my Gen3 Prius, you need to take off the windshield wipers and the
windshield facia to get to them. if only that engineer had rotated
the top of the block 90 degrees it'd be a walk in the park to change
the plugs.
