I may go for days without contact but I am still around. Wish me luck
as I am going to need it.

Hello All,
I had my last six teeth and nine sets of tooth roots removed today. In pain but glad it is done. It looks like they are going to try to get me in for open heart surgery in the next couple of days due to worsening conditions in my heart. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I am really stresse out right now.

heart, they cannot do bypass surgery. They will be talking to the surgeon that runs the cath lab to see if they can put stents in instead. The onus of my recovery is going to be on me.
Ugh. Sorry to hear this, but it SHOULD be a quicker recovery tho.
Though if I get myself together and get healthier, I may
not need stents again...that's what I hope anyway.
Hello All,
I had three stents out into my heart today and the surgery went well. I haven't
breathed this well in 25 years. I'll be going home tomorrow sometime. I am in som
pain but should be okay in a day or two. Will be taking nitro as needed. Can't w
to get home.

recovery to "pain free".

Due to the VA being slower than my dead grandmother's bowels, I am
stuck in the hospital for another night. I am hoping to go home tomorrow...maybe.
Very frustrated right now.
I was stuck in a hospital after an operation for an extra night as
they had a major trama come in. I got dressed told the nurse I was
going for a walk and went home. They called next day and I addmitted
I did a runner. They gave me a bit of shit but not too much.

Just found out that my neighbor has bedbugs in his apartment. They're going to do a heat treatment but I am afraid I'm going to get them and
in my condition, that could be a very bad thing.
UGH! Luckily I've never had to deal with that. Hopefully the treatment works and takes care of the problem.

except it went into my lungs. Still have bad coughing spasms, severe congestion, and I've completely lost my voice and can barely talk.
Plus, like I said to Shawn, I've got these COVID headaches from hell
that knock me flat on my ass.
Like the last time I had COVID, my senses of taste annd smell were not affected. I don't know why.

My parents will be picking me up to take me home later today. I'm
looking forward to getting back home and getting my little apartment
ready for the upcoming holiday season. Already bought some nice
Christmas cards (I am old-fashioned).
Good to hear! I too love the holiday season and doing some prep for it.
I don't decorate much, but I pack my DVR with holiday shows/movies.
I'm writing this after suffering an episode of hypoglycemia and waiting for my
body to adjust after eating a snack. I am still in the hospital but going hom
later today finally. They kept me overnight to see how I would do with the medication readjuastment and so far, so good.
Hope everything continues to improve!

I bought a pre-lit 3' tall Christmas tree that I Didn't put up last

I am not so much a Halloween person though I do enjoy the fall/harvest season celebration.
I'm hoping to corral my parents, my sister, her boyfriend, and my
nephew into my tiny apartment for Thanksgiving.
Christmas I usually spend alone either having a Christmas lunch
New Year's Eve I'm at home watching TV with a pizza and snacks and nhanging out online. I do not go out on NYE anymore after losing my youngest stepsister to a drunk driver in 2003 and nearly losing my stepfather to a drunk driver later that same year.
I don't celebrate Valentine's Day. Instead, I celebrate Singles' Awareness Day. LOLOLOL

I don't like Halloween it self, but I like the shows associated with
it. Not horror or scarey stuff, just the comedy stuff. And the candy
corn is nice :)
Very Nice! I'll be heading to Austin to visit my parents and one sister
is usually there as well.
That's a good idea, I usually spend Christmas alone too, especially
when it is in the middle of the week. I need to start a tradition like that. I'll have to think of something I really enjoy.
Sorry to hear that, same here otherwise, I hate going out on NYE. I usually get a cheese assortment and crackers and watch movies. And then
I am typically in bed by 9pm or so and sleep through the new year :P
There ya go! I am with you on that one.

I have friends who think I am weird for liking candy corn. What do
they know?
The lasagna started out of desperation and something that would be easy
to make and easy to clean up. Now it's just become a source of
comfort in a life full of change.
February 15 is like November 1 for me: time to get some good candy at a steep discount. I might get some for the deep freeze even.

I love it as well, and the pumpkins too. I've had to cut down on them,
but I buy a small back of each and spread it out over the month of Octobert.
Yup, sounds good too. I haven't had Lasagna in a while, so I might so something like that myself. And get some frozen Texas Garlic Toast as well. Thanks for the idea!
Another good idea, maybe I can find some cheap chocolate covered strawberries! :)
