Mark,
The OS is becoming less and less important with the average user that runs almost everything from a browser. Most regular people could get by with a cheap Chromebook.
I talked to a friend earlier today, and she said that Windows 11 is so screwed up, that she
thinks folks will end up going to Linux instead.

A lot of people said that when Windows Vista hit.
The issue is that for people to make the switch, they need to be aware there are alternatives. Most
consumers out there are not informed and think everything is Windows - they don't even know Apple
uses a different OS. And those who know of the Apple ecosystem often want nothing to do with it
because of cost concerns or walled garden concerns.
It is only when they see something other than Windows running anywhere that it enters their radar
and they have a chance to decide to switch.
