Hello All!

I am trying to get proboard up on my arca install and having a couple snags.. I am using SIO and VModem which all appear to be working fine. Proboard will load and initialize the modem without an issue. It will show "Ring" when I try to connect to it, however it will not answer. I did in communicating with its current author get it to answer by adding ATS0=1 in the answer string in modem settings, this did not last tho. I am not sure what it so different about proboard and this setup, maximus, lora and others answer just fine. Hoping some of you may have tried this setup? Here is my config.sys as it relates to SIO...

your SIO config seems to be OK.

if you have RINGs then you should check your proboard config. maybe it's just not set to answer the calls automatically. i never used proboard unfortunately, so can't tell you where :)

I have used Arca with Proboard and had no issue with PB not answering...

I did one better...I found my Virtualbox ArcaOS machine that is running ProBoard.

My default modem parameters in ProCFG:

"Init Command 1": ATZ|

"Manual Answer" : No

"Answer Command": ATA|

Yeah I am in direct contact with him. I am on arcaOS latest version. Sio loads fine, vmodem loads fine. If I spin up max it answers as expected, I did get pb to answer remotely once with ATS0=1 in the answer string but not since. This is kinda crazy and hard to trouble shoot. I am waiting for him to load arca and see if we cant troubleshoot it together.

Also, just be safe, look for this line in CONFIG.SYS:

DEVICE=C:\OS2\MDOS\VSVGA.SYS

Add this to it: /INT10TEXTGRFXSAFE

Arca does have issues sometimes with how it handles DOS sessions and that
can fix some issues.
