Was just trying to figure out why Mystic didn't put a REPLY kludge on my message. Then I noticed that it couldn't because your original message didn't have a MSGID kludge. It still came through find ok though.

That was sent using the (very old) internal ProBoard FSE. I'll be cracking and setting up IceEdit tonight or tomorrow for a FSE and that should work great.

    Hi Jay,

Was just trying to figure out why Mystic didn't put a REPLY kludge on my message. Then I noticed that it couldn't because your original message didn't have a MSGID kludge. It still came through find ok though.

Evidently ProBoard doesn't support MSGID kludges. I have the source code (and good God, is it a total dumpster fire) and if I knew C better, I'd add support for it.

Hey, it still works! If you ever want to post a test message to FIDOTEST let me know first, I'll grab some popcorn and watch the show! lol

    Hello, Warpslide!

Replying to a message of Warpslide to Sean Dennis:

    lol

You ain't kiddin'. Wilfred and Michiel would be on me like white on rice. I do have the full source code to ProBoard but since I a) don't know C and b) know that a MSGID kludge doesn't really mean much anymore, I am not going to bother trying to add that into PB.

The thought of me going into FIDOTEST and smacking the hornets' nest is entertaining ,.. yes, I do have a masochistic side. I am, after all, a BBS sysop.

I have run my BBS now for half of my life and I really don't care what the naysayers think. Like Mr. Sinatra sang, I'll do it my way.

Fun fact: there is a 16-bit OS/2 ProBoard executable hiding in that source code. So I know it can be done but the PB source code is an unmitigated Dumpster fire that needs an expert's touch.

    Later,
    Sean
