Is this net real names or handles? Curious.

... I'm not a complete idiot... Several parts are missing!

As it explains in BACKBONE.NA in the infopack, all echoes except for MIN_ADMIN and L618_SYS are alias or real name. If you use netmail, it must be using your real name.

Real Sysops read the documentation...or at least skim them. <G>

On another note, I saw your message about your extended abscence, and
you really have been through the ringer. So, your time away to get your
health taken care of was understandable (you were missed) and far more important than the BBS. Some days, I feel like crap...never mind I'm
currently fighting a bout of intestinal flu early today. :P

But, after that 3rd Covid-19 booster in November, I feel like I've had
an anvil dragging out of my butt (that would be a sight, and explain why
it hurts to sit down <G>). I also think I might have picked up the flu
or something else at the giant petri dish (the local ER) about a month
    ago. Hardly anyone was wearing masks, and I wasn't either...but I don't
think masks would've helped...as the flu, RSV, and other crap is running rampant around here. I've had all the needed shots, though.

The other problem here has been dodging thunderstorms. Just before
Christmas, it was near 0 degrees Fahrenheit in Little Rock, and that
was with no snow cover!! A week later, and then this past Monday night,
severe thunderstorms and tornadoes were in the region...again.

This past Monday, an EF-1 tornado hit the community of Jessieville,
near Hot Springs...damaging some homes and causing 2 minor injuries.
But, the most damage was on the campus of Jessieville High School...
where some buildings were damaged...then a security camera on the
football field caught the tornado bending over 3 of the 4 stadium
light towers, flinging the visitors bleachers around (heavily damaging
them), and heavily damaging the scoreboard. There was also widespread
flash flooding, with some parts of southeast Arkansas getting 8 inches
of rain in just over 2 hours!! Each time we have storms here, the amount
    of lightning is unreal!!

Arkansas is no stranger to winter season tornadoes...in 1982, we
had them on Dec. 2 and Christmas Eve...it was eerie getting ready
to sing "Silent Night", and the tornado siren outside the church
    activated. :P

    On Jan. 21-22, 1999, there were 56 tornadoes...most in just a 6
hour window, and one of them was only a mile from me...that same one
barely missed hitting the downtown area. Then, in the community of
Beebe that evening, there was a high school basketball game being played...thankfully, they were monitoring the ham radio operators
with the Skywarn Net. They wisely decided to stop the game at
halftime, and evaculated the premises. Not 30 minutes later, the
gym was flattened by a tornado.

On Feb. 5, 2008 (Super Tuesday), there was a record 122 mile long
F-4 tornado from west central through northwest into north central
    Arkansas.

    Then, on March 1, 1997, we had the I-30 tornado...an F-4 from
Arkadelphia to Malvern to Little Rock...running just south of
Interstate 30 -- it barely missed hitting the Little Rock National
    Airport.

At least we didn't get the ice storm northwest Iowa did earlier
this week...or the 2 rounds of extreme snowfall in and around the
Buffalo, New York area...where one area got nearly 7 feet of snow!!
I think it was last February, we had 2 back to back winter storms,
and there was 2 feet of snow on the ground in Little Rock...hardly
    anything moved for several days.

But, as long as I can keep power and internet, I'm happy to stay
home. Besides, I gave up driving and sold my car 6 1/2 months ago,
due to dry corneas blurring my vision without warning, which made
it too dangerous to drive anymore. So, except for taking Lyft to
the Post Office Box twice a month, I'm stuck at home 24/7/365...
and I hope the Medicare folks are happy about that. Now, maybe I
can get home health care to help me deal with congestive heart failure...although I am on Lasix, and that surely wasn't my
    pee-rogative. <G>

Hope you get to feeling better soon...I miss the FIDOGazette.

    Daryl, WX4QZ

... Drain Bamage?? No, thanks...I already have some.
