just thought I'd say Hello, hope to stir up some chatter :-)
in keeping with the network, what was your first computer?

myself, my first one was a TI99/4a I really couldn't do much, so eventually,
I got a Commodore Vic-20, and a 300baud modem but back then bbs's were not as common only things like Compuserve & prodigy
later I bought a C-128 and a 1200 baud modem, and RA BBS - ran a board here
in Oregon for several years till a thunderstorm took out the computer.

    Hey Michael.

Are you aware there is a retro group for the TI-99/4A?

I started off using a Video Genie at school which was like a TRS-80 clone,
but ended up with a ZX81. I was a bit disappointed but being 11 years old, I couldn't really grumble. After that I upgraded to a VIC-20 then a BBC Micro
for which I wrote a BBS for. I had a 10MB hard drive for that too. I was
    well happy with it.

Along with that I got my first PC given to me. It was a Commodore PC with
256K of memory and a green screen. Was good for basic adventure games and robots type terminal games but not much else, though I did get a 14.4K modem
    to use on it.

First posts to RetroNet for me, also. Coming in through Black Flag.

My first computer was a TI-99/4A that I got for Christmas 1982. I've had
quite a few since. Here's the list:

    https://bytecellar.com/the-list/

I started collecting retro systems in 2000 or so and have a room setup.
Here's a photo from a few years back. There have been changes, but you still get the idea from the panorama linker at the bottom of the aforementioned
    page.

My most recent acquisition is a Tandy 1000HX that I've expanded to 640K and enjoy using for BBSing and some light gaming.

    Cheers.
