    For anyone interested --

I'm in the process of organizing a collection of 80's IBM-compatible PC booter games. That is, image files of mostly 5.25" and 3.5" disks that were booted directly into (no DOS, etc.)

There are tools (Flopper) that can make them "boot" from hard disk as well if you don't have the means to put them on a disk or emulate such things.

They aren't there yet, but I hope to have the first set imported tonight/tomorrow timeframe, then more to come as I can round them up.

Anyone have favorites from these types of games?
(BTW: a fairly good list is here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PC_booter_games

Oh man! There are so many games there that I loved. My favorites from that list
    are:
    Archon
    BC Quest for Tires
    Borrowed Time(Badass on C64)
    Defender of the Crown
Dunjonquest(old roguelike from what I recall)
Pretty much all of the Infocom games listed
Gamma Force in the Pit of a Thousand Screams(Interactive Comic series) Ghostbusters(also badass on the C64, that great SID theme music)
    The Hobbit(Graphical IF game)
Kobyashi Naru(badass Star Trek Text simulation. Hard as nails)
    Marble Madness(Amiga version is great)
    Mindshadow(another graphical IF game)
    Sherlock Holmes: Another Bow
    Warrior of Ras:Volume I - Dunszhin(am I confusing this with Dunjonquest?)
    The Wizardry series
    World Karate Championship

It would be interesting to go through these and see how they hold up to the glow of my early memories haha
