Ok, so I got a new pi for xmas and I got the full game package from Vilros.com

It has the pi3B+ with a 32gb card with retropie pre-loaded. It has USB SNES paddles and a case that looks like a game console.

I loaded it all up and added a number of roms. But when I press the start button on many games, it just takes me out of the game an back to the game list.
I know nothing about retropie and I don't know where the logs are. When I launch a game, it gives a splash on how theres a log file at /dev/shm/runcommand.log. But when I look in there, I get no relevant info.

Does anybody have any idea why the games keep crashing?

    Please help.

You can download preloaded retropie images with all the games and its all pre-configured... saved me a lot of headache.

just burn the image on the microsd card and youre good to go

    https://www.arcadepunks.com/retro-pi-downloads-page/

theres a lot to choose from, also you can youtube the builds to see what it
has to offer and how the interface looks etc.

    hope this helps

not sure what you mean, we were talking about retropie arcade setups not mystic installations.

Yeah, I can't see why you'd want to use RetroPie to run Mystic, since there's a perfectly good native Pi build available (which I run myself).

Yes, I'm trying to get Mystic to run on my RPi. I installed Raspbian and then tried to install Mystic. Well, Mystic refuses to do anything. It won't load.
I think I missed a step or two when installing it.

Yeah I never had an issue getting Mystic to work on my Pi. Might pay to double check and go through all the steps again.
